Eligibility Details

Any public or private (profit or nonprofit) entity located in a State (which includes one of
the 50 United States, District of Columbia, Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands,
Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, Republic of Palau,
Federated States of Micronesia, and the Republic of the Marshall Islands) is eligible to apply for
an award under this announcement. Community-based organizations, faith-based organizations,
and American Indian/Alaska Native/Native American (AI/AN/NA) organizations are eligible to
apply. Foreign institutions (non-domestic U.S.) entities and foreign components of U.S.
organizations are NOT eligible to apply.
Eligible organizations include:
• State Governments
• U.S. territories
• County Governments
• City or township governments
• Special district governments
• Independent school districts
• Public and State controlled institutions of higher education
• Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized)
• Public Housing authorities/Indian housing authorities
• Native American tribal organizations (other than federally recognized tribal
governments)
• Nonprofits having 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of
higher education
• Nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of
higher education
• Private institutions of higher education
• For profit organizations, including small businesses.
Deadline Details

Applications are due July 11, 2022 by 6:00 PM Eastern.
Award Details

Awards will be in annual increments (budget periods) and generally for a period of performance up to three (3) years with an optional competitive fourth year. Recipients will be required to submit a non-competing continuation application for each budget period for the second and third years with a competing continuation application for a fourth year for the purpose of providing funding to support selected recipients as they transition projects to sustainability.

Award Ceiling (Federal Funds including indirect costs): $ 300,000 per budget period
Anticipated Start Date: September 30, 2022
