The purpose of the CTE Innovative Programs is to provide leadership by initiating and advancing improvements to public education.

Grant funds are competitive and not all grant applications may be funded. Grant submissions are evaluated by a review team consisting of internal CTE staff. Grants are awarded based on the the scope of work, anticipated outcomes, statewide implementation and relevancy to current CTE initiatives using a competitive scoring rubric and a neutral review team.

Eligibility Details

CTE Innovative Programs I: Eligible applicants are Arizona school districts and charter schools. To be eligible to apply for a CTE Innovative I grant, an entity must be a secondary school district receiving Perkins funding during the 2020-2021 school year.
CTE Innovative Programs II: Eligible applicants are Arizona school districts. To be eligible to apply for a CTE Innovative 2 grant, an entity must be a secondary school district receiving Perkins funding during the 2020-2021 school year.
Deadline Details

Applications are to be submitted by June 30, 2023. A similar deadline anticipated.
Award Details

Total funds available for the Innovative grants varies from year to year based on total allocation received and other initiatives to be funded. Award amounts vary. Awards range from $5,000 to $500,000. Project period is from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
